Everest Chola pass trekking is another one of the trekking packages frequently arranged by Mount Fuji Adventure. As of other trekking package in the Everest region, it is also one of the challenging trekking package, if you wish to have trekking to this destination, you do not only need to be physically fit also ready mentally to overcome any kinds of challenges you might face during your trekking. The Everest Chola Pass trekking is considered to be one of the longest trekking route, while having this trekking you also can extend the route along Gokyo lake, Gokyo valley, excursion around Chola pass, Gokyo Ri, Chhumkkung Ri, Kalapatthar and no doubt finally you will reach at Everest base camp. This is one of the adventurous trekking trips since it passes through numerous of rocky passes, strenuous hills. This package is designed especially to those who would like to have more adventurous trips and spend longer period in mountain region.

Trekking to Everest Chola pass trekking either beings with short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla or by one day drive from Kathmandu to Bhandar and follows classic route to Namche Bazaar then continues through Dingboche or Pheriche, from where you will have some magnificent view of Everest along with Nuptse, Lohtse and Mount Pumori Himalayas and then return back to Lobuche head to Zongla and pass the Choula and stay over-night at Thangnak. Subsequently, trek to Gokyo Lake have incredible views of mountains and finally reach at Everest base camp and making excursion around, you will return back down to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)
As soon as you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will complete the visa formalities after which you will be escorted by our representative to the luxury hotel where you will enjoy the welcome dinner and stay overnight in a hotel in Kathmandu. You will be briefed about Everest Chola Pass trekking package by our team leader. You will also meet with other trekking members.

Day02: Flight to Lukla (2810m) Trek to Phakding (2652m)
We will drive to Kathmandu Airport and take 35minutes of Kathmandu Lukla Flight. The plane lands at Tenzing Hilary Airport of Lukla. You are advised to take the seat at the right side of plane. The flight offers views of Gaurishankar, Langtang, Lhotse, Everest, Cho Oyu and Nuptse Mountains. Trek begins in Lukla. The trail progresses through he left bank of Dudh Koshi River and crosses the stone path to reach Bhaisekharka from where we will move forward to Phakding.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3446m)
We will cross pine forest and take the escalating trail up to the ridge. We will get panoramic views of Kusum Kanggru (6369m), Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8,848 m) and Nuptse (7879 m) mountains from the ridge. The trail winds up through Benkar and Monjo settlements before entering Sagarmatha National Park. We will reach the confluence of Bhotekoshi and Dudhkoshi Rivers from where we will climb to  Jorsalle village. Continuing further, we will reach Namche Bazaar (3446m) where we will stay overnight.

Day 04: Rest Day in Namche Bazaar
Taking break from Gokyo Valley Trekking at Namche Bazaar is a necessary procedure. It helps us in proper acclimatization as there will be increase in an altitude in upcoming days. We will visit the nearby Sherpa Museum where we can see traditional Sherpa cloths. We can also visit Syangboche Airport that lies near Everest View Hotel. We can enjoy sunrise and sunset over Khumbu peak. Time permitting, we will visit culturally rich village of Khunde. 

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3867m)
We will take 5hrs of climb through Kayangjuma and Sansa to arrive at Phuki Thengna. After brief rest at Phukithegna, we will head to Tengboche village. We will visit Tengboche Monastery which is the largest monastery in Khumbu region. We will climb to the ridge and get views of Kwongde Peak (6187m), Tawache Peak (6542 m), Mount Everest (8,848 m), Nuptse Mountain (7855m), Lhotse Mountain (8618m), Amadablam Mountain (6856m) and Thamserku (6608m) Mountain and then lower down to Tengboche Hotel where we will stay overnight.   

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4260m)
From Tengboche village, we will walk ahead and cross the dispersed settlements to reach small village of Pheriche. The hilltop in Pheriche gives views of forest and mountains. We will cross the forest and reach Lobuche River. Crossing the river, we will reach Dingboche where we will stay overnight.

Day07: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche
We will take the well deserved rest at Dingboche. It helps us in regaining energy. We will climb the ridge and get spectacular views of Makalu, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Lobuche, Cholatse and Imja Valley. We will lower down to our camp at Dingboche and stay overnight.

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4930m)
Lowering down from Dingboche, we will lower down to Khumbu Khola Valley. We will take the escalating trail to ridge from where we will reach Dusa. The trail winds up through Dusa to Phulung Karpo and reach Dughla. We will take the tapered path to Lobuche from where we can get views of Nuptse, Thamserku and Cholatse peaks.

Day09: Trek to Gorak Shep (5140m) and to Everest Base Camp (5364m), Return to Gorak Shep
We will leave Lobuche and walk through Khumbu glacier.  We can get views of Pumori Mountain, Khumutse Mountain and Nuptse Mountain on our way. We will cross Thangma Riju and reach Changri Glacier from where we can enjoy the view of Kala Patthar. We will trek to Everest Base Camp and get views of Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori Mountains. Finally, we will return back to Gorakshep.

Day10: Trek to Kalapatthar (5545m) Trek to Dzongla (4830m)
After taking hurried breakfast at Gorakshep, we will lower down to river. We need to cross the river before following the escalating trail to the hilltop. We can get views of Ama Dablam and Thamserku Mountains. We will lower down and reach Cholatse Lake which is the sparkling white lake. Crossing the bridge, we will arrive at Dzongla where we will stay overnight. 

Day11: Trek to Thaknak (4750m) via Chola Pass (5367m)
It is going to be the most difficult trek. Chola Pass is one of the three high passes in Everest Region. We need to take difficult walk through the inclined glacier to Chola Pass. We can get views of Amadablam, Baruntse, Lobuche and Cholatse peaks from the ridge. Lowering down from Chola Pass, we will walk through crevasses to Thaknak where we will stay overnight.    

Day12: Trek to Gokyo (4800m)
We need to walk through Nazgumpa Glacier. It is the longest glacier system of Nepal and second glacier system of world. We will follow the zigzag path that is made slippery by melting snow. We take 6hrs of walk to arrive at Gokyo valley. It is popular for 6 frozen lakes and Gokyo Ri Mountain.

Day13: Trek to Gokyo Ri (5357m) Trek to Machhermo (4470m)
Gokyo Ri offers one of the best views of Everest. We can get views of fifth lake and Kusum Kanguru, Gyangchung Kang, Kantega, Makalu, Changtse, Everest, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse and other mountains. We will descend to Gokyo and reach Machhermo where we will stay overnight.   

Day14: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3446m)  
Monastery in Machhermo is said to have the skull of Yeti which is a mythical creature.  Crossing the juniper forest, we will cross small settlements of Dole, Phortse Thanga and Shanasa to reach Namche Bazaar where we will stay overnight.

Day 15: Trek to Lukla (2810m)
We will take about 4hrs of trek to reach Phakding from Namche Bazaar. The trail is mostly descending. We will cross suspension bridges at several points and walk through forest of blooming rhododendron. Crossing Dudhkoshi River, we will walk past small settlements at Ghat and Bhaisekharka to Lukla. Modest walk of about seven hours will take us to Lukla. We will stay overnight in lodge in Lukla where we pack our things and arrange photos in an album.

Day 16: Lukla Kathmandu Flight
We will take 35minutes of flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and stay overnight in a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 17: Departure
This is the end day of Everest Chola Pass Trekking package. You will be assisted in last moment preparation and taken to TIA from where you will board the plane back to your home.
